LeFebure, Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Circa 1970's. The LeFebure company was started in 1892 as a safe maker. It was acquired by De La Rue plc of England in the 1992 and acquired by Mosler in 1998 which in turn was acquired by Diebold in 2001. The time lock itself is made by LaGard Inc. and is their Model 2400 which was also marketed under other manufactures' names including LaFebure. This is a typical example of the late 20th century, lesser quality time locks that employed plastic case construction with inexpensive Swiss movements.  file 41
